 (AMCS), founded in 1961, is a nonprofit, community-based mental health clinic that serves the LAX, South Bay and Westside areas of Los Angeles. The mission of AMCS is two-fold: to provide affordable, community based mental health services, and to train mental health therapists.

You are not alone… Let us help you deal with stress, trauma, hopelessness, depression, or loss of a loved one. We also offer assistance with parenting issues, problems of adolescence, life transitions, health or aging challenges, and caring for a loved one.

Are you interested in becoming part of our innovative and vibrant mental health organization? If so, we are always looking for talented trainees/associates and professionals.  We are seeking trainees/interns interested in being licensed as Psychologists, MFTs, Clinical Social Workers and PCCs.

AMCS often cross-refers clients to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), so families of our clients can get support through NAMI with a chapter meeting at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Check out the NAMI South Bay website for more details.
