The staff consists of both paid and volunteer personnel ranging from psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychiatrists, interns from graduate programs and office support personnel.
LEADERSHIP Team
Eden Garcia- Balis, M.S. LMFT
After an extensive search, Eden Garcia-Balis, LMFT was appointed Chief Executive Officer for AMCS in 2014. Eden has been in the mental health field for over 19 years with experience in leadership and management of service programs, business operations and fundraising. Eden was the Executive Director of the Pasadena Mental Health Center. Eden has a passion for working with the underprivileged and underserved and believes all people regardless of their socioeconomic status deserve quality mental health services they can afford. Eden is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and brings a strong clinical background to her position at AMCS.
Diana Hoffman- Ph.D
Diana Hoffman, Ph.D., Clinical Director, graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego, following her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. For the first 12 years of her career she worked with the homeless and mentally ill, during which time she not only provided direct services, but she operated short-term residential facilities and supervised training therapists. Her contributions to the mental health community include the construction of a training program for staff and interns for an agency operating 28 facilities. Dr. Hoffman has been continuing her contributions to the community through her work with Airport Marina Counseling Service since June 2009.

BILL MORGAN
Bill Morgan joined AMCS in November 2019 as the clinic’s Development Director. Bill has a rich background in development, having spent nearly 20 years in marketing and development for a variety of organizations, including the National Veterans Foundation and Feed Our Vets. The UCSD graduate lives in Pico Rivera with his wife, son and a house full of pets.
ANNETTE MCCLURE
Annette McClure has been Office Manager of Airport Marina Counseling Service since 1998. Her responsibilities include running many of the Clinic’s operations, from duties involving the Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Director, to preparing employee work schedules, keeping personnel files current, assisting with bookkeeping functions, answering telephones, budgeting for and ordering supplies, and taking care of the many needs of the Clinic as they arise.
